The cover, which develops a unique character the more it is used, is made of high-quality Tochigi leather and has a round clasp. There are also double-sided pockets at the end of the book. Foolscap paper, a British paper that often appears in the 19th century detective novels “Sherlock Holmes Series” written by British author Arthur Conan Doyle, is said to be the origin of foolscap paper. Foolscap paper is the highest quality writing paper in Japan, with excellent writing properties such as smooth writing feel and good ink absorption. It is also compatible with fountain pens, and has the laid (grain) and watermark that are unique to high-quality paper.
